At some times I check on the old Commondreams site to see if there's anything worth posting here for comments. But to be honest, I rarely see anything these days. When I went recently, I saw almost no debate of Obama's cabinet or policies. I saw a couple of stories, posted on Sat, about not shopping on Fri. And I saw a 'news release' from some 'anti-war group' I'd never heard of supporting the Bush-Obama plans to keep troops in Iraq until 2011. In general, the article selection over there seems so non-discript that I'm not seeing much to link to.
But, if you see something on that site that you want linked to over here, just post a comment up here and I'll go set up a link to it.
Did anyone catch this link given by a blogger on Common Dreams a few weeks ago?
If I could afford books I would be reading "Freedom for the thought we hate: A Biography of the First Amendment". James Bamford "The Shadow Factory: The Ultra-Secret NSA from 9/11 to the Eavesdropping on America" Jeremy Scahill "Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army [Revised and Updated]", Chalmers Johnson Trilogy Blowback books and Sheldon S. Wolin "Democracy Incorporated".
Cindy Sheehan made some interesting comments to "Barack Obama Accused of Selling Out on Iraq by Picking Hawks to Run His Foreign Policy" on 23rd Nov 2008 Common Dreams
